Nothing matches the delicious taste and nutrition of organic veggies and fruit harvested fresh from your own garden. These days it's easy to find what you need to grow your organic garden as all you need is likely to be available at your local garden center, DIY store or even the supermarket! Here are a few simple steps to planning and growing your own:
You can improve the soil in your beds and borders to set the stage for a spectacular organic vegetable garden. Organic compost, such as Miracle-Gro® Organic Choice™ Garden All Purpose Compost can be mixed in with your soil. You can also improve your soil with products such as Miracle-Gro® Organic Choice™ Plant Food. Or, you can simply buy a Miracle-Gro® Organic Choice™ planter - simply cut the top open and plant your seeds or plants directly into the planter.
Check the instructions on your plants to see how they should be spaced. To avoid shocking your herbs, plant them in the early morning. First, dig out a hole that is about twice as wide as your plant's root ball. Gently place your plant in the hole, then backfill. That's all there is to it.
Provide your new plants with plenty of water and for best results, feed them with Miracle-Gro® Organic Choice™ Plant Food. Miracle-Gro® gives you the best results providing both quick- and slow-release feeding to get plants off to a fast start and keep them growing naturally. This translates to bigger, healthier veggies and fruits with more abundant harvests than other products.
Remember that growing conditions vary, even from garden to garden, so there is an element of trial and error involved when you set foot on the path to the Good Life. There is also a huge variety of fruit and veggies out there, so enjoy seeing which suit your garden and your palette best. |
